About Engayla

I grew up in Germany, where I learned to sew by watching my mother recreate Chanel designs at our kitchen table. That early hands-on education shaped everything that followed—from formal classes to years of experimenting, making mistakes, and learning by doing.

Now based in Seattle’s Crown Hill neighborhood, I design and sew each piece myself in my home studio. My work blends European craftsmanship with a love for natural fabrics, comfort, and timeless style. Everything is made in small batches—or one of a kind—with a focus on thoughtful construction and wearable design.

I open my studio on select Saturdays and show at juried art events around the Northwest. If you’d like to stay in the loop, sign up for my email list—I’d love to keep in touch!
